VINTAGE EMAUX DE LONGWY DÉCOR A LA MAIN FRENCH ENAMELED CAKE PLATE. Mark: Lorraine cross (before 1955). Made by the well-known French Faiencerie “Emaux de Longwy” company, this piece is high glazed ceramic earthenware decorated in a raised cloisonné enamel style. It is hand-decorated with the vibrantly colored flower pattern edged with dark cobalt blue. The center medallion features a décor of flowers, greenery with a white background framed with dark cobalt blue and having a pedestal foot which is a turquoise color. The hallmark on the back indicates it was manufactured before1955. The plate is in very, very good original condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some intentional crackle in the pattern and additional crazing consistent with age on the underside.
