Rare French Faience 18th Century Mustard Pot. A lovely neoclassical French fiance or tin glazed hinged lid mustard pot with a bulbous body decorated with polychromed glazed swags and tassels. There are blue bands and a mottled lemon and leaf as finial. The cover is attached to the Handle by the original pewter hinge A sweet and rare little mustard pot from the late 18th century France. Wear consistent with age and use. This little French faience mustard pot has a tiny glaze feck on the cover and the usual tin glaze roughage on the rim of the pot, all typical of antique faience. 38 cover hairline at the mustard spoon opening, it does not go through.
