Nice late 18th century French faience plate. Decorated with hand painted flowers in pink, purple, blue, yellow, and orange. Has a blue fishscale border along the edge. Marked on the reverse with an R. Made by Joseph Gaspard Robert in Marseilles, France.

Condition: Excellent: Very little wear, Minor crazing.
It is also marked with “Decor Strasbourg Fait Main” or’Old Strasbourg, hand made’ which is writen over the glaze. It features a scalloped and combed rim and a central bouquet of an opening tulip with wild flowers.

It is hand painted with a bouquet of flowers and floral sprays around the rim.
Faience french HB Quimper, all signed, circa 1930s’. The plates were painted by two different decorators.
He started working at this factory in 1917, he painted this plate in 1920.
