Have nothing in your houses that you do not consider to be beautiful or useful. French Vintage Faience Bistro Match Caddy – Dubonnet. A familiar sight in French bistros – when smoking was still allowed – was the large match caddy on the copper top bar. This one was distributed by the makers of Dubonnet. It measures 3 inches high (7.5 cms) and is 4 inches (10.2 cms) wide at the base and 1 5/8 inches (4 cms) at the top. It is in excellent condition. The dark spot on the top edge is not a chip but a tiny discoloration when it was fired. The striker part is intact and the lower part is market “Dubonnet”, “Grand Prix 1900″ and “Vin au Quiquina”. The bottom is stamped “Le Pyrogene” Paris and probably dates from the 1950’s. Please read before purchasing.
