This delightful pair of petite candlesticks is finely crafted and detailed. The pieces are made of French Faience fine tin-glazed pottery on a buff earthenware body. Each candlestick features an Art Nouveau style rounded octagon-shaped ascending base with a long neck terminating in a candle cup. The candlesticks feature matte terracotta red glaze accented by dark cobalt blue glaze with hints of yellow and green. The pieces are marked on the bottom France. Candlesticks present well and are in very good antique condition, with very minor wear and patina commensurate with age. There are a few manufacturing flaws and un-glazed areas.
