This listing offers and absolutely gorgeous antique square cake plate made by Sarreguemines in France between 1860 – 1890. This lovely plate features a handpainted floral design set inside a panel in the center. The panel is trimmed in yellow scrolls. The background is filled with a blue lattice pattern and a brown trim. Particularly charming is the fact that the lattice is made up of little star or floral shapes. The piece is marked on the bottom with the green coat of arms with the three merlettes of Sarreguemines and the number 635, which dates it to 1860 – 1890. This cake or serving plate measures approximately 10″ x 9″. It is in excellent or mint condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing of any kind. The colors are vibrant. This beautiful piece is in remarkable condition for its age. Please look carefully at the pictures for condition and size, as the pictures are part of the description. A Note on Vintage Items.
