A Stunning Old decorative French Desvres violin from the Fourmaintraux – Hornoy factory. The violin is decorated with flower baskets, flower sprays, and lattice work. The violin is surrounded by leaves, scrolls, and flowers. Length : 18 1/2 inches. Width : 6 1/4 inches at widest point. Age : 1867 – 1877. Condition : Very Good with normal wear. A few small paint flakes and some small small cracks on the bridge. The keys have been glued in place to keep them from falling out and breaking. The keys have been touched up but are a lovely part of this piece.
