Six/6 antique French Choisy le roi majolica barbotine plates – hand painted. These barbotine plates were made in France in the late 1800s. They feature 3 different flowers in relief around the edge- Rose, Dahlia and a Marguerite. Each of these plates is unique in the colourings and overall they have a superb, mellow antique appearance which display superbly – but could equally be used for occasional food service. The reverse of the majolica plates have impressed marks and artists signature initials. They measure 8.75 /22cms in diameter- weight 2.6 kilos unpacked /5.7lbs. Price is for six plates. Condition -Good antique condition – Natural crazing and light staining -Gloss/shine good- 1 plate has a 0.5cm hairline edge – cannot feel it – so it could be in glaze alone.
