Recent Northern Virginia estate find. These pieces are in overall outstanding condition and include some very obscure and rare pieces from a very established collector. Offering a beautiful and quite scarce set of three, French HB Quimper 7 3/8 salad-sized octagonal plates. Only one of the three plates is marked; however, based on style, design, shape and size, all are from the same maker and era. The mark on the underside generally dates to the late 19th century, around 1895. The only slight issue we found is a tiny. Abrasion on one plate. Possibly a rub from a plate hanger; extremely insignificant. Other than this, some typical firing inclusions you would expect from early Quimper pieces; very slight glaze flakes or skips, and possible drips or glaze color variations. Extremely exceptional with these pieces and very insignificant. Please see photographs for overall condition, design, and dimensions. Photos do contain measurements and price listed is for all three plates.
