A Pair 17th Century French Faience Pot Handles, Nevers, circa 1650. An historically significant pair of French, Nevers, faience handles from a large tree pot. Each mask is surmounted by a laurel hail and by two intertwined dolphin tails forming an arch. These have been saved from a damaged ” pot-a-oranger” dating circa 1650.
