Large Antique 19thC LIFE SIZE French Faience Antique Dog Statue. He’s a Terrier or Schnauzer that looks just like a real dog. He’s absolutely incredible, and so Life-like = from his size and stance = He looks like he just walked right into the room and he looks right into you with his eyes. He’s done in a very unique Faience, Tin-Glaze Majolica Type Glaze.. I do believe he’s French especially with the’red clay Pottery/Porcelain’. This beautiful life-like Dog measures approximately 22″ long x 15″ to the tip of his tail, and 15 3/4 to the top of his ear. Dates to approximately 1880s-1900. CONDITION: He Appears to be in beautiful, excellent used Antique Condition. I don’t see any cracks, scratches, damage, or repairs.
