Offered is this super old antique French faience butter pat. Made in one of the faience companies in the east of France in the early 1800’s, we think Luneville or Strasbourg. It features a lightly scalloped rim trimmed in pinkish red with hand painted flowers and green leaves in the center. It measures 4 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition for its great age with little wear to the enamel, see all of the photos. It looks like some ash from the kiln peppered the front which really gives this piece a very original look.
