Made in the late 1700’s to early 1800’s, it is unmarked and most likely made in Nevers, France who was known for their Revolutionary faience. It features a rooster on top of a canon which represents vigilance where the rooster is protecting the nation. It is completely hand painted in a Naive Art manner. The rim is turned up slightly more than a dinner plate. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It measures 10 inches in diameter and stands about 1.5 inches tall.
