Offered is a beautiful antique French faience calendar plate with the back stamp of Opaque de Sarreguemines. This plate was produced starting 1856 according to the makersmark. It features the month of November with a casual evening among friends in period dress. The rim is surounded with diffrent images of angels doing various things each seperated by the same motif. Very lovely and a great example of early french faience. The color is black on white. Well marked on the back with the 1856 makers mark. It measures 8 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is overall crazing from its great age. Add this to your private collection, Home Decor or give as a fabulous antique gift.
