Dating circa 1920s, The earthenware bowl is hand-decorated with Chinoiserie and an enameled glaze. The underside is a pale turquoise blue with craquelure crazing and contrasting dark cobalt rim and foot with blue, green, and pink embellishments including two faux rope blue handles. The interior of the bowl is also craquelure crazing in off-white with charming bright colors of blue, pink, and green florals circling the interior. No chips or cracks. Shows wear of paintings appropriate to age. See photos, some staining on bottom inside. Measures 9 1/2″ (including handles) x 8 1/2″ Diameter x 3 3/4 Tall.
