Sarreguemines CARMEN Terre de Fer Earthenware. Rare French Faience plate from the 1800’s. Marked Terre de FER. The pattern is called Carmen. It features dark blue herb sprig, seaweed, dragonfly and a frieze along the rim. I can find no other examples of this assemblage of design elements. It is in very good antique condition with some crazing and light staining but no chips or cracks. It measures 8 inches wide.
