A marvelous French Sceaux tin enamel faience tea caddy that has a hand painted landscape on one side and hand painted flowers on the other 3 sides. It is marked Sx for Sceaux. The Sceaux factory was in operation outside Paris from about 1748 to 1794. This caddy is 4.75″ high, 2.5″ wide and 2 deep. Its decoration is similar to most Sceaux plates that I have seen, and the mulberry color is well documented in Sceaux pieces. Condition: very good antique condition with no chips or cracks, and just a bit of wear on the unfinished inside and bottom of the caddy. This item is in the category “Antiques\Other Antiques”. The seller is “niddynoddy5859″ and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped worldwide.
