Many thanks for viewing. An interesting and attractive tin-glazed antique plate from the Veuve Perrin factory. This plate features a fabulous chinoiserie design, painted in green and black against a white ground. It features two asian figures attempting to noose a bird (probably a cormorant) for the purposes of fishing. This is an unusual and charming piece, dating to the 19th century. Marked to the underside with the VP mark. Please see my other Veuve Perrin chinoiserie plate, offered for sale separately. Approx 25 cms diameter. There is an extensive area of dotting / pot marking from where the glaze has boiled during the firing. However, despite this, the image is intact and it’s still a highly attractive plate. 10mm glaze frit/ graze to the rim edge.
