Offering for your consideration a desirable First Period Porquier-Beau Quimper flower pot (“cache pot”). This delightful mold features a Breton peasant man playing the flute on one side. The other side displays a lovely botanical spray of pink and yellow flowers. Each side is decorated with rich blue on blue acanthus work. The interior is completely covered with lovely blue sponge work. The outer edges are scalloped with a “ribbon like” rim. The piece is signed in blue with the intersecting PB mark and the name of the Alfred Beau Breton scene, ” Pont l’Abbe”. The cache pot measures 3 1/2″ tall by 5 1/4″ diameter rim to rim. It is in excellent antique condition. Please see all photos, which are a part of the description. I have planted some pansies in it to give you an idea of how the flower pot can look, if you desire to use it for fresh plants. Thank you for your visit to this unusual antique Porquier-Beau flower pot mold.
