This listing is for a beautiful antique French pottery pitcher. This one is not signed but I think it was made at Quimper or Nevers and dates to the 19th. It measures just over 7-5/8 high (19,5 cm). There are a few small chips and a fine hairline near the spout (see close-up pictures) but apart from that it is fine with no other damage and no repairs or restoration. This pitcher is very finely decorated and I have not seen these “ribbons” on French faience before. Please excuse any glares (white patches) that you may see in the pictures, these are caused by reflections of light on the glaze and are not on the actual object itself. The item “ANTIQUE FRENCH FAIENCE PITCHER 19TH. CENTURY POSS. QUIMPER OR NEVERS POTTERY” is in sale since Sunday, August 4, 2019.
