Beautiful late 19th /early 20th century hand-painted French faience dinner plate, marked with a hand-painted PV France. Features a central hand-painted provincial village scene with young men playing a game on a white earthenware blank with embossed band with painted floral sprays finished on a scalloped purple rim. Measures 10 1/4 diameter and is in overall Excellent condition free of nicks or fleabites, minor scratching to the center from prior use, please see all photos. A fine addition to any home or collection! Veuve Perrin factory created faience wares during the 18th century, pieces from Marseilles were copied extensively in the late 19th/early 20th century using the VP monogram of the Veuve factory.
