Offering for your consideration a handsome late 19th century Breton Costume plate from Brittany, France. The plate measures 9 3/4 in diameter and is from the Maison de la Hubaudiere of Quimper. This plate is signed only HB on the back. This plate depicts a Breton man holding a glass and proposing a toast. He is hand painted in the naive, yet detailed style which was used in this series of Breton Costumes by HB Quimper. The plate is in mint condition. It has been in my personal collection for many decades. Thank you for your visit to this interestingly posed Breton man plate.
