This unusual French faience box came with us from France. It has a mark on the bottom that I have not been able to place. The box is clearly hand made as it is not a. The lid displays a rooster that is depicted in the style used as the end of the 19th century. The sides and corners are decorated with flowers. The condition of the box is good, except for the manufacturing flaw there is also a very small chip to the inside edge of the lid. Measurements are: 3 1/2″ by 2 3/4″ and 2 3/8 tall.
