For sale is a wonderful set of Antique French HR Quimper. The painting depicts either a young Breton lady or man in traditional dress with various borders on a creamy bright white background. Plates measure 7 diameter and marked either on the face or reverse with the HR Quimper mark, some have artist numbers. The HR Quimper mark was used by the pottery as early as 1895. One plate has a few flakes, no other damage (see last photo for closeup). Please enlarge all photos for closeup views. That handmade French pottery can have glaze flaws, including loss of glaze and uneven glaze color, inherent to the firing process. Please message me with any questions. Comes from a non-smoking home.
