Hand painted and artist signed by Fouillen. A large French faience / majolica 24 well Serving Platter and individual serving plates with 6 wells; each having a condiment / sauce well. By Fouillen, Circa 1950. This unique set has a palette of earth tones with stylized marine life decorating the plates. A grayish green sponge work at the rims, a spiked band of very dark navy blue (almost black) just beneath the rim on a pale cream colored sponge work ground. No cracks, chips or hairlines. 15-5/8 inches diameter 1-1/4 inches high. 9-1/2 inches at widest point 8-5/8 inches at longest point And all weigh approximately 20 pounds without packing materials.
