Antique Creil Montereu HP Cobalt Turquoise & Gold Bird & Floral Faience Platter. Rare beautiful faience platter. Hand painted with an Aesthetic pattern depicting a cobalt and gold bird with raised white enamel highlights over a turquoise background with cobalt and gold branches with white enamel cherry blossoms, and a blue and white fan and moon. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom Creil Montereau B & Cie. This mark was used by Barluet et Cie (Barluet & Co) between 1876 and 1884. Has wear to the gilding and a few small scratches to the background, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 13 7/8 inches long x 10 1/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
