This is a “barber’s bowl” from France, marked on the bottom. The barber’s bowl served another function as well. The two small holes on the top of the rim were used to string a cord from which the bowl was hung on the wall when not in use. The fact that it was hung on the wall shows that this bowl was also valued for its decorativeness. The overall condition of the bowl is good, but there are some glaze came off to the edge, and had been repainted with some white color. There are two firing cracks from manufacturing, one inside the bowl one is on the underside of the bowl which is quite common for that period. Please check the pictures. Measurements 11 1/4 across.
