This is a lovely set of faience plates showing transfer printed images of famous French artist Jean-Francois Millet. The scenes are all from Millet’s farming paintings. All the plates have a beautiful green border around a white plate background with the farming scenes in the center. This is a total set of ten plates. There are four different scenes, as shown in the photos, with 3 plates for each scene except for plate #2 (top left on the photo), which is single- a farmer with a scythe. Hung on a wall together, or set on a table, this collection would surely add character to any room.
