This wonderful antique French tile sits on a wooden trivet for display. The tile is hand painted and depicts a deer at a stream with a sunrise in the background. The bottom left of the tile says : Peint a la Main Modele Depose and a name that cannot be read. There is also a mark in the corner that looks like a lyre and what i believe is J & L under it. There are no marks on the underside of the tile. We took of the back cover and looked. The tile is in good vintage condition, with some wear marks to the top (the glaze had some faint crazing). It is glued to the underlying wood base, which could be undone, but has not been attempted. The elaborate wood stand is also in good condition with some separation at the corners.
