AT FIRST I THOUGHT THIS WAS MADE FOR THE CABINET FOR SHOW. THIS FORM WAS MADE IN THE 20S, ONLY THE 20S. THE LID (COUVERCLE) IS ALMOST IN A HIGH CLOCHE (BELL) DESIGN FOR SUCH A SMALL PIECE. THAT TOOK A LOT OF WORK FOR THE POTTER. I DEFINITELY CORRECT WHEN I EXAMINED THE TERRINE CLOSELY… YOU CAN SEE THE AGE OF THE GLAZE THAT ONLY TIME COULD MAKE AND I KNEW MY APPRAISAL WAS RIGHT…. THE FORM OF THE TERRINE.. (OBVIOUSLY USED VERY RARELY) AND THE SAVOIE TRANSITION INTO THE 20TH C AND THUS, WE HAVE A MIXTURE OF TWO CENTURIES. I THINK IT HELD BONBONS OR SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES.
