French Faience Veuve Perrin Center Piece hand painted Basket with Figural c1899. Presented is an Antique French Faience Veuve Perrin Center Piece hand painted Basket Tazza or Compote. This great piece is marked on the bottom for Veuve Perrin made in France. I believe the marks dates to the 19th century or earlier. This beautiful large centerpiece tazza with a basket weave cutout surround and hand painted flowers in the center with four smaller shell motif dishes at four points surrounding the bowl and a figural statue in the center under the bowl beneath a cluster of grapes. It is an amazing piece with a crack in the larger tazza or bowl with some it has some minor chips and fine scratches from gentle use and care; please see pictures for details. The restoration seems to have been done well and it makes an excellent decoration in any number of decors or setting. Please be advised these are delicate vintage or antique pieces that have seen use and repair and I have shown what I can of cracks and repair in the photos above.
