Is French Faience Desvres Blue & White Antique Figurine of the late 19th Century. Is a figurine of a Bear decorated in blue and white accents, with paws holding a tree trunk. Is modeled in deep relief- the hand painting, décor and glaze are very well done. Is decorated with stylized accents, and a typical palette of Desvres, including a creamy white background decorated in blue. Has a makers mark on the underside, glazed in in dark blue script: AK, 192, and 22. Has an unglazed underside base. The estimated date is circa 1880. This Antique DESVRES BEAR WITH TREE TRUNK SALT FIGURAL SALT is in good condition- it is noted there are glaze losses to bottom left paw, on tree trunk, and tips of ears. Otherwise, condition status includes minimal normal wear and rubbing, light crazing, glaze losses, firing flaws, crazing and fretting.
