Delighted to offer a REALLY fun piece for faience collectors and fans of Harry Potter. This plate was made by Keller & Guerin; Luneville France circa 1910. The colors are so bright you need to wear shades! This plate is bright yellow, bright cobalt and bright burgundy on a white background. I don’t know if it depicts an eagle or a dragon, but if you’ve ever had a rooster chase you, that’s what a demon looks like, so I’m going with the eagle. It measures 10.25. It shows general crazing, a few random paint dots, slight enamel loss and a few light scratches. There is a factory flaw “skitter” at 9 o’clock and there was something to the right of the shield that cleaned off after we took the photos. There is a large chip on the back rim that is barely visible at 1 o’clock on the front. Overall, a great, “in your face” piece. Thanks for taking a look!!
