This tureen has been hand painted with a beautiful pansies design and has hand painted lettering saying’Souvenir, à la mariée’ which means’Memento, to the married couple’. It has a lovely shape and is made of faience and has a cream white color. These type of tureens used as wedding gifts. It was made around 1900, in France. This piece would look great in a country/shabby chic interior. Total height: about 9 inch / 23 cm. Total width: about 10 inch / 26 cm. Good antique condition, some minimal crazing and stains to the glaze, from old age. Two tiny hairlines on the rim of the bowl. Flowers in the first photo are not included.
