On offer here is this rare and charming French faience wall bracket shelf in 18th century rococo manner with 3 reserves delicately hand painted with scenes of Marseilles Port life. This rare and large decorative piece has quite a presence, and is marked with the hand painted VP insignia of Veuve Perrin with asterisk and 5 dots. This fine early piece of French faience is in very good condition. As is typical with faience/tin glaze wares, there is inevitable signs of wear though here it is only in the form of some flaking of the glaze – none that seriously detracts from the visual presence or beauty of this fine decorator piece.
