Interesting and beautiful antique Italian or French Faience Delft ceramic pottery jar now a lamp. Measures approximately 12 inches to bottom of light socket. With harp about 21.5 inches and with finial a grand total of 24.5 inches. A decorator designers dream come true….. Wonderfully painted with two winged dragon griffins and a central Lion with cornucopia horns a plenty. There is an old antique paper sticker affixed to the body of the lamp as shown….. I have not attempted to take this lamp apart….. The harp is an old style and not easy to remove unless the socket is also removed. Unknown exact country of origin…. I think the faience jar itself is older than the lamp… Probably late 19th early 20th century….. Expert opinion always welcome. The faience jar in overall good condition… Does not appear to have any cracks or lines…. The brass bronze base also in good condition…..
