Offered is this beautiful antique French faience plate. Made and hand painted by one of my favorite French faience artists, Henri Chaumeil. The back is marked with his initials under glaze and also “Decor Strasbourg, Fait Main”. It features a colorful French rooster perched on a fence rail surrounded by colorful vegetation. It also has hand painted cherries on the rim. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It has stilt marks on the back from being fired in the kiln which is normal. This is a nice large plate that measures 10 inches in diameter. This will look beautiful on any wall of your home.
