Antique FRENCH FAIENCE CHUBBY GAUDY MAN POTTERY TOBY JUG PITCHER. This is a recent estate find of an antique French Faience style pottery jug-pitcher that is a squatty Chubby man decoarted with a blue area at the top for his hat and the background color is a faint blue with hand painted flowers. He has a painted gaudy style suit and has black painted shoes. He stands about 7 1/2 high to top of the opening. There is some paint chipping off of the shoes and there are some small chips along the edge of the dark blue opening. There are some imperfections in the blue glaze as well that features small white dents or in the blue area of the inside spout. There is a small glaze chip on one elbow and very small rub mark to the glaze on the other elbow. He still displays well but has the damage as described which I have also tried to show in most areas as described. Very unique and old of which some damage can be expected.
